What sets jwc projects apart from the rest:

Clean, warm, less-is-more design style.

You won’t find sad beige brands in our portfolio—the hallmarks of a JWC brand are an artful use of color, joyfully unexpected shapes, custom illustrations, and a refreshingly simple sense of playfulness that aligns deeply with our clients’ values and audiences.

it Feels like we’re friends (because we are!)

Clients walk away from their JWC experiences with a new brand and a new friend—that level of personal connection is something I can’t not have with my clients (and they feel the same way!) Call it a Midwestern nice vibe or just a clients-become-friends philosophy—it’s a core part of who I am.

Joy Warren Creative is the perfect example of the "unexpected entrepreneur" story (that so many of my clients share).

about the studio

Although it sounds funny, that “brand design studio life” kind of found me. After a move across the country for a dream job offer that didn’t pan out, I thought—”why not?”—and JWC was born. When I commit to something, I do it fully, and the undeniable pull I felt towards entrepreneurship started growing.

With each client added to the JWC roster, I fell more in love with the impact brand and web design can have on clients’ businesses—higher revenue, easier marketing, and that intangible feeling of alignment with their brands. Seeing my clients go from imposter syndrome to that “we’re legit” confidence is my “why,” and I’m on a mission to use branding to help all levels of business owners find that feeling.

meet the founder

Hi there! I'm Joy.

I’ve loved art from an early age (it’s in my genes), but I didn’t exactly know what to do with it. I learned my way around the Adobe suite in high school and have loved design ever since! After getting a degree in graphic art and moving from the midwest to the east coast, I jumped straight into launching my business.

Living in a city with flourishing arts and small business communities has brought so much joy to my life, and I found my people quickly. I love my clients, my job, and the life that I'm building!

the studio's core values

Gratitude & Humility

I show up to work each day with a strong sense of respect and gratitude for the trust my clients show me. My goal is to lift others up, remaining humble and grateful for my ability to impact their lives with my talents.

Joy

I believe there’s something simple yet beautiful about finding joy in the details of everyday life. JWC clients resonate deeply with my positivity and optimism, and each brand I create has a sense of joy baked deeply into its DNA.

Balance

My creative process is centered on balance: between desk and outdoors time, between work and play, and between professionalism and personal connection. I hope to show my clients how important it is to enjoy the present as it is to plan for the future.

Efficiency & Reliability

I work with something I like to call efficient accuracy, which allows me to serve clients at all levels with the highest quality. My clients are often surprised at how quickly yet beautifully their project comes together (always on deadline, of course).

Boldness

At JWC, boldness doesn’t have to mean being the loudest in the room. For me, it means taking risks, trying new things, going the extra mile, and not being afraid to make big moves (in life and business). What backup plan?

Intentionality

I believe that listening is just as important (if not more so) as taking action—and this manifests in my tried-and-true design process. Noticing, remembering, and celebrating meaningful details forms the foundation of my design philosophy (and portfolio).

Connection

Without community, it’s hard to walk the small business path alone. Personal connection with a client is something I look for in each discovery call—and I’ve been told those calls feel like chatting with a friend (what a compliment!)
